Joined Kalakshethra — Began classical Bharatanatyam training at Srimathi Rukmani Devi Arunidale's Kalakshethra in Chennai.
1959
Bharatanatyam Diploma — Completed her classical Bharatanatyam Diploma Course in April, becoming the first Sri Lankan to do so from Kalakshethra.
1959
Began teaching — Joined the Education Department as a dance instructor, a role she held for over 25 years.
1982
Founded Shri Padma Ranga — Established her own school of dancing, 'Shri Padma Ranga' (also 'Shree Padma Ranga Nrithya Nikethan').
1991
Awarded Kalasuri — Honoured with the Kalasuri award on May 22.
2023
Passed away — Padmini Dahanayake Ariyadasa passed away on May 16.
