Sandra Eschenbach, known by her stage name Akhila, is a dedicated practitioner and teacher of Indian classical dance forms, primarily Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam. Journey Timeline
2007
Discovered Indian classical dance — Inspired by a Bharatanatyam performance by Senthil Kumar.
2008
Began intensive training in Kochi, India — Started annual training with Shyamala Surendran.
2009
Began Mohiniyattam training — Started learning Mohiniyattam from Shyamala Surendran.
2010
Began teaching — Started teaching Bollywood and Bharatanatyam at Natyadhara.
2011
Expanded teaching roles — Trained Mohiniyattam group, assisted children's classes, and gave Bollywood workshops.
2018
Mohiniyattam Rangapravesam — Completed her debut performance in Mohiniyattam in Munich.
2019
Received educational excellence award — Bestowed with the Future Kerala Educational Excellence Award for her school.
