1965
Joined Kerala Kalamandalam — Began Koodiyattam training as the first non-Chakyar student.
1971
Graduated from Kalamandalam — Performed at Kalakshetra, where Rukmini Devi Arundale praised his abhinaya.
1975
Joined Kerala Kalamandalam as an instructor
1980
International Performances and Academic Role — Performed at the Cologne Festival in Germany and was invited to be a visiting professor at the University of Calicut's School of Drama. Also performed in France.
2005
Retired from Kerala Kalamandalam — After three decades of teaching.
2012
Awarded Padma Shri — By the Government of India for his contributions to Koodiyattam.
2025
Announced retirement from stage performances — Will continue to offer guidance and lecture-demonstrations.
