Graduated from Kalakshetra — Completed five years of intensive training in Bharata Natyam.

Taught and performed in Singapore — Served as a National Dance Artiste.
Early 1980s
First visit to Perth, Australia
1983
Moved to Perth, Australia — Relocated with her husband, Sri Raman Kuppusamy.

Founded Kalaivani School of Indian Classical Arts — Established the first school of its kind in Western Australia.

Co-founded North Perth Ethnic Music Centre — Later known as Kulcha.
2015
Received Lifetime Achievement Award and 'Natya Aachaarya Mani' title — Awarded by Apsaras Arts in Singapore.

Received 'Jeeyar Award of Excellence' — Awarded by JET Australia Foundation for pioneering service to Indian Classical Dance in Western Australia.

Presented workshop in Singapore — Invited by Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society to mark 70th year of Indian dance.

Formed Geethvani orchestra — Kalaivani's traditional Carnatic orchestra, which she leads.
