Daughter Monisha Unni passed away — Tragic demise of her daughter, actress Monisha Unni.
1995
Nrithyavedi renamed Monisha Arts Academy — Renamed her dance institution in memory of her daughter Monisha Unni.
2001
Received Karnataka Kalashree Award — Awarded by the Sangeeta Nruthya Academy, Government of Karnataka.
2009
Started Mohini Nrityotsav festival — Initiated an annual festival to promote Mohiniyattam in Karnataka.
