Joined Kerala Kalamandalam — Began his formal training in Kathakali music.

1968

Joined Darpana — Became a music teacher at Mrinalini Sarabhai's Darpana in Ahmedabad.

1978

Joined Margi — Returned to Kerala and joined Margi in Thiruvananthapuram as a music teacher.

2005

Passed Away — Died on September 17 at the age of 59.

2012

Biography and Documentary Released — Biography 'Bhava Gayakan' by Dr. N.P. Vijayakrishnan published, and documentary film 'Chitharanjini: Remembering the Maestro' released.
