About
Aler Krishnan, artistic director of Abinaya Arts Academy (Estd. 1994), is an accomplished Bharathanatyam dancer, teacher and a nattuvanar. Aler is a disciple of gurus Smt Indra Rajan and Sri Pandanallur B. Srinivasa Pillai and is currently under the mentorship of Smt Bragha Bessell and Sri A. Lakshman. Aler is the co-founder of NavaDarshana, a dance initiative she co-founded with the world renowned dancer Smt. Priyadarsini Govind and also serves on the board of several non-profits, including Indian Fine Arts Academy of San Diego.
