Kathak Kendra, also known as the National Institute of Kathak Dance, is a premier institution in New Delhi dedicated to the training, preservation, and promotion of Kathak, one of India's major classical dance forms. Established in 1964 as a constituent unit of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, it offers structured courses in Kathak dance and allied Hindustani classical music forms. It was originally founded in 1955 as the Kathak wing of the Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra through the efforts of Nirmala Joshi.
