Kadri Nrithya Vidya Nilaya is the district's oldest dance school in Mangalore, established in 1936 by U S Krishna Rao, known as 'Raja Master'. It primarily imparts training in Bharatanatyam and was named Nrithya Vidya Nilaya by former president Dr. S Radhakrishnan in 1953.
