Satkara Foundation, previously known as Satkara- A Society for Propagating Sattriya Culture, was established on July 10, 2013, by Sattriya danseuse Meenakshi Medhi. The organization aims to familiarize and preserve the Sattriya culture, especially among the youth, and believes in preserving the 600-year-old dance tradition of Assam.
