Founded in May 2000 by Srimathy Mohan, Silambam Phoenix is a registered non-profit cultural institution in the greater Phoenix area. It has produced and presented over 10 full-length original productions and currently has approximately 70 students. Silambam Phoenix borrows its teaching methods and principles from Shree Bharatalaya, Chennai, and focuses on promoting and developing the arts through artistic education.
