🪔 About
An Odissi dancer, she began her journey in the classical dance form at the age of five. Her training is rooted in the traditional Odissi repertoire, with a focus on developing strong technique, expressive abhinaya and a deeper understanding of the art form. She currently trains under Smt. Madhusmita Mohanty and Shri Ramesh Chandra Jena, carrying forward the rich legacy of Adi Guru Pankaj Charan Das. Over the years, she has developed a repertoire spanning Pallavi, traditional nritta and abhinaya, and continues to refine her practice as both a performer and student of Odissi. She has performed at several platforms and festivals, including Biswa Odissi Utsav, Odissi Prativa Utsav and Mumbai Odissi Utsav. She has also been honoured with the Odissi Prativa Puraskar by SAMSKRITI on three occasions in recognition of her dedication and contribution to Odissi. She continues to pursue her journey in Odissi with a commitment to preserving its traditional vocabulary while exploring the depth of its movement, rhythm and expression.
