Akundi Sri Sowmya is an Indian classical dancer specializing in Kuchipudi, with 19 years of experience in the art form. She received her training under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Chavali Bala Tripura Sundari. Sowmya is a certified dancer from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University. She made her official debut, or arangetram, on June 21, 2019. Throughout her career, Akundi Sri Sowmya has performed at various significant events, including Nadaneerajanam (TTD) and the Natyanjali Festival. She also notably portrayed the character of Mohini in the dance drama "Ksheera Sagara Madhanam," presented by the students of Abhinaya Vani Nrithya Nikethan. In addition to her performance career, Akundi Sri Sowmya is a dedicated educator, having commenced her teaching activities in 2014, which include offering online classes. She is based in Hyderabad, India, and also possesses a background in Carnatic music.
