Dipti Sahu, also known as Diptimayee Sahu, is an accomplished Indian classical Odissi dancer, teacher, and institution head based in Bhubaneswar, India. She is a significant figure in the Odissi dance tradition, particularly associated with the vigorous style of the Debaprasad Das Gharana. Sahu received her training under eminent gurus, including Guru Gajendra Panda, and is noted for performing pieces choreographed by Guru Debaprasad Das, which were rearranged by her guru, Gajendra Panda. Her foundational training also includes being one of the initial students of the late Guru Gangadhar Pradhan. Dipti Sahu was a founder member of the prestigious Orissa Dance Academy (ODA), established in 1975, alongside other notable dancers like Aruna Mohanty. This association highlights her early and integral role in the development of a prominent Odissi institution. She has been recognized by Guru Gangadhar Pradhan as one of his well-known accomplished dancers and teachers. As a performer, Dipti Sahu has presented solo recitals, such as 'Ekaika' at Rabindra Mandap in Bhubaneswar, where her proficiency in Odissi was showcased. She is particularly noted for her expressive capabilities, described as a "potential abhinaya expert" due to her facial expressions and corresponding body and limb movements. Beyond performing, Dipti Sahu is the Director of DEVA KALA Padanyasa, an academy dedicated to classical and folk dance, located in Bhubaneswar. She pursued her studies at Utkal University of Culture in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
