Gairika Mathur is an accomplished Indian classical dancer, specializing in Odissi and Bharatanatyam. A lawyer by profession, she is a devoted disciple of Smt. Madhulita Mohapatra for Odissi. Her foundational training in Bharatanatyam spanned fourteen years under the tutelage of Dr. Padmini Chakraborty, culminating in a Visharad from Bhatkhande University, Lucknow. Mathur has established herself as a remarkable soloist, performing on prestigious stages globally, including the British Army, New Scotland Yard, India House, Nehru Center, House of Lords, House of Parliament, Waterman's Theater, London Fringe Festival, Reading University, Watford Palace Theater, and Tabernacle Festival. In India, she has graced festivals such as Naada Neerajanam-Tirupati Temple Festival, Naman, Kapaleeshwar Temple festival, and Kalpashree dance festival. Her commitment to dance extends to collaborative projects, including involvement in three music videos with renowned classical vocalists and flautists. Gairika Mathur is also dedicated to using dance as a therapeutic medium. She has attended workshops conducted by the legendary Pandit Birju Maharaj and has served as a guest faculty at institutions like Natyalaya Institute of Dance and Universal Dance School in Bangalore. Mathur founded her own dance institute, "Nritya Arpana," where she imparts training in Bharatanatyam and explores fusions of classical and Western dance forms.
