Eranki Srihari Baladitya, popularly known as Hari Om, hails from a family deeply rooted in traditional Indian music and dance. His parents, Late E. Nagamamba and Prof. E.S. Murty, were esteemed professors of History. Hari Om commenced his Kuchipudi training at the tender age of three under the tutelage of the legendary Guru Sri Pasumarthi Sitaramiah, an exponent of the traditional Kuchipudi form. He began performing at age five, showcasing his talent across India and securing victories in district, state, and national competitions. Following the Kuchipudi tradition, he often performed female roles, notably alongside his guru in 'Bhama Kalapam' throughout Andhra Pradesh. His significant early achievements include participating in the International Kuchipudi Dance Festivals in Mumbai (1994) and Hyderabad (1995). He furthered his Kuchipudi studies in the Vempaty tradition at Kuchipudi Kalakshetra, Visakhapatnam, under Smt. Bala Kondala Rao and Sri Hari Ram Murty from 1989 to 1992. Additionally, he trained in Bharatanatyam under Sri A. Rukmaji Rao from 1991, and in Andhra Natyam and Perini Shiva Tandavam under Sri Nataraj Parameswaran from 1986. He also holds a Diploma in Kuchipudi (1995) and a certificate in Mridangam (1999) from Telugu University, Hyderabad. In 1992, he began teaching at Sri Gowthami Kala Vihara, a music and dance school founded by his mother. In 2003, Hari Om moved to Hong Kong, where he became a prominent teacher and a trendsetter for Kuchipudi, semi-classical Indian dance, and Bollywood styles, significantly popularizing these forms in the region.
