Keya Chanda is a celebrated Kathak dancer, choreographer, singer, and reciter, who has dedicated over 25 years to the classical dance form. She is recognized as an "A" Grade artist by Doordarshan and is a Gold Medalist. Chanda is a disciple of eminent Kathak gurus including Smt. Rani Karna, Pt. Bachan Lal Mishra, and Pt. Birju Maharaj. She holds a Ph.D. and is a member of the International Dance Council UNESCO Paris. Her career has seen her perform internationally in countries such as Germany, South Korea, and Vietnam. Keya Chanda has also received national scholarships and junior fellowships from the Government of India. Beyond her performances, she has recorded a collection of songs titled 'ICHHE HAY'. She is the founder and head of Makhla Shinjini, a dance institution in West Bengal, where she imparts her knowledge of Kathak. Through her academy, she presents various solo and group performances.
