Pandit Bacchanlal Misra was a renowned Kathak artist and guru. He was a disciple of the esteemed Pandit Ramnarayan Misra, under whom he honed his Kathak skills in Calcutta (now Kolkata). He was also a guru-brother to the celebrated Pandit Chitresh Das. Pt. Bacchanlal Misra dedicated his life to the art form, imparting his knowledge and training to numerous students. His teaching legacy includes disciples such as Smt. Keya Chanda, who further propagated his teachings. Pandit Bacchanlal Misra passed away, and tributes were made in his memory in August 2020.
