Kirti Kurande is a dedicated and accomplished Kathak dancer based in Pune, India, a city recognized for its vibrant cultural scene and contributions to Indian classical arts. Her profound journey into the intricate world of Kathak began with extensive and rigorous training under the esteemed guidance of Pt. Maneesha Sathe, a mentorship that has spanned an impressive sixteen years. This long-term discipleship has provided Kurande with an invaluable foundation, imparting a deep understanding of the technical nuances, traditional aesthetics, and expressive storytelling inherent in the Kathak style. Further solidifying her expertise and academic grounding in the art form, Kirti Kurande pursued formal qualifications at the prestigious Bharati Vidyapeeth School of Performing Arts in Pune. During her time there, she demonstrated exceptional academic rigor and artistic talent, successfully completing both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Kathak. Her outstanding performance and dedication to her studies were formally recognized with the award of a gold medal upon her graduation, a testament to her commitment to mastering both the practical and theoretical dimensions of this classical dance.
