Komal Biswal is an accomplished Indian classical Kathak dancer and teacher, known for her extensive training and performances. She is a senior disciple of the esteemed Kathak danseuse Padmasree Shovana Narayan, and also received training from Shri Tirath Ajmani. Biswal dedicated over 15 years to her Kathak training, complementing her academic background with an Honours degree in Kathak from Indira Kala Sangeet University Khairagarh, alongside a B Com degree and a diploma in Financial Accounting. Throughout her career, Komal Biswal has graced numerous prestigious stages both nationally and internationally. Her landmark performances include the Commonwealth Games 2010, the India China Cultural Exchange Programme, and appearances at significant festivals such as the Konark Festival (Odisha), Lucknow Mahotsav, and Taj Mahotsav. She has also performed in Seychelles (East Africa), Russia, and South America. As a dedicated educator, Biswal has shared her expertise in Kathak for many years. Her teaching experience includes five years at Asawari Institute, one year at GD Goenka School Model Town, and one year at Gyan Shree School at Noida Express Highway. She is also actively involved with Routes 2 Roots, an NGO dedicated to promoting Indian performing arts, where she conducts Kathak classes as a guru.
