Lavanya Panguluri is an Indian classical dancer and teacher specializing in Bharatanatyam and Andhra Natyam. Her association with the Vishwa Shanthi Dance Academy (VSDA) spans over 25 years, where she initially began as a student. She later founded the Milpitas branch of VSDA and also teaches at the Palo Alto branch in the Bay Area, California. Lavanya received her formal training in Andhra Natyam under the tutelage of Dr. Nataraja Ramakrishnan, known for Perini Siva Tandavam, and Acharya Kalakrishna. She continues to pursue Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Guru Shreelata Suresh, a mentorship that has lasted for more than 10 years. Throughout her career, Lavanya has played a significant role in several major productions by Vishwa Shanthi Dance Academy, including "Samudra Manthan," "Infinite Facets," and "Vyakrita." She is dedicated to preserving India's rich cultural heritage and nurturing the next generation of dancers through the art of Bharatanatyam.
