Lingaraj Pradhan is an acclaimed Indian classical Odissi dancer, teacher, and guru, recognized for his sculpturesque dancing and expressive performances. He began his Odissi training at the age of 15 under the guidance of Guru Bichitrananda Swain, with direct supervision from Padmashree Guru Gangadhar Pradhan at the Orissa Dance Academy. He continues to refine his skills under Guru Sri Swain. Pradhan holds a Masters in Music in Odissi Dance from Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Bhubaneswar. He is a prominent faculty member and lead dancer at the Rudrakshya Odissi Foundation, an institution founded and directed by Guru Bichitrananda Swain, which focuses on grooming male Odissi dancers. Lingaraj Pradhan has performed extensively at major dance festivals across India, including the Konark Dance and Music Festival, Mukteswar Dance Festival, Puri Beach Festival, and Kalidas Samaroh. His international performances include the OSA Convention in the USA (2002), the 2nd International Odissi Festival in the USA (2003), and tours to various cities in the USA, Canada, France, and Malaysia. He has also served as a visiting teacher at the Chitralekha Dance Company in Toronto, Canada, and is a lecturer in the Department of Odissi Dance at Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya. Beyond dance, he has also studied Mardala under gurus Banamali Moharana, Gangadhar Pradhan, and Dhaneswar Swain. He is actively involved in training students from India and abroad, and frequently conducts workshops internationally.
