Nirali Chandan Thakor is a prominent Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam, associated with the renowned Nrityabharti academy in Ahmedabad, India. She completed her Alankar with First Class in Bharatanatyam Dance in 2001, under the tutelage of legendary Guru Smt. Elakshi Thakore and Shri Chandan Thakore. As a vibrant artist, she has dedicated her life to dance, actively participating in the activities of Nrityabharti, an institution founded by Kalaguru Smt. Elakshiben Thakore in 1960. Throughout her career, Nirali Thakor has delivered approximately 150 national and international performances as part of the Nrityabharti Performing Group. Her performances have graced prestigious festivals across India, including the Konark Festival, Uttrardh Festival, Swarnotsav, and various events organized by the Delhi Sangeet Natak Academy and Gujarat Sangeet Natak Academy. Internationally, she has performed in countries such as Austria, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan. She is also known for her innovative choreographies, including a duo performance blending traditional Bharatanatyam with Spanish Flamenco Dance and a fusion piece titled “Panchmahabhutam,” based on the five elements. Furthermore, she has played leading roles in several dance ballets, such as “Meghdootam,” “Geeta Gobindam,” “Shiv Nrutyanjali,” “Shree Krishna Mahaprasthan,” and “Siddhartha.” Beyond performing, Nirali Thakor is a dedicated teacher at Nrityabharti, where she imparts training and guides numerous students through their Rangpravesham (debut performances). Since 2008, she has regularly conducted master training classes in Austria-Europe, expanding the reach of Bharatanatyam globally. She also organizes workshops for young students at Nrityabharti, fostering creativity and preserving the rich heritage of classical dance.
