Pragnya B Prakash is a distinguished Indian classical artist, choreographer, and guru, renowned for her expertise in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. Her journey in dance commenced at a young age, leading her to train under esteemed Bharatanatyam guru Smt. Narmada and Kuchipudi exponent Smt. Vyjayanthi Kashi. Pragnya holds a Master's degree and has achieved significant academic and artistic recognition, including securing the 1st rank for the State of Karnataka, India, in Bharatanatyam. She also holds a Vidhwath (proficiency) title in Bharatanatyam and has received a Distinction in dance certification from the Indian Raga organization, USA. As a performer, Pragnya B Prakash is a graded television artist and has graced numerous prestigious stages across India, the USA, and other countries. Her performances include appearances at the Mysore Dasara Festivals, New Delhi Dance Festivals, Tirupati Brahmothsav, ISKCON festival, Ankura dance festival, Shravanabelagola Mahamastakabhisheka festival, Kerala Malabar Dance Festival, Bangalore Dance festival, Chennai World Trade Event, Lemont Maha Shivaratri Festival in Chicago, Ramanavami Festival in Chicago, 25th SAPNA (Sri Annamacharya Project of North America) celebrations in Naperville, Nrityothsava Dance festival in Omaha, and the Maha Shivaratri Event in Maharishi Vedic City. She performed a solo Bharatanatyam piece at the NAVIKA-2018 event in Mysore, India. In 2007, Pragnya B Prakash founded and became the Artistic Director of the Eshanjali Dance Academy, LLC, in Des Moines, Iowa, where she imparts systematic training in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, along with folk and semi-classical dances. She is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of dancers, teaching students of all ages. Beyond her academy, she serves as a Cultural Ambassador for the CultureAll organization and has choreographed dance productions, including “Purandara” in 2017. Awards & Honours: 1st rank for the State of Karnataka, Distinction in dance certification.
