Rajendra Chaturvedi is a distinguished Kathak dancer, guru, and choreographer, primarily associated with the Banaras Gharana, drawing inspiration from the styles of legendary dancers Gopi Krishna and Sitara Devi. He is a Bachelor of Science and holds a Sangeet Prabhakar in Kathak dance. Chaturvedi is the head of the Nateshwar Nritya Kala Mandir - Kathak Institute of Late Natraj Gopi Krishna in Mumbai, an institution affiliated with the Akhil Bhartiya Gandharv Mahavidyalaya Mandal Miraj for over 45 years, serving as an examination center for Kathak dance. Beyond his role as a classical dance exponent, Rajendra Chaturvedi is also an authorized Bollywood choreographer, having choreographed for films, television serials, and commercial advertisements. He is dedicated to promoting Kathak and organizes three annual shows in Mumbai: "Nritya Samagam," "Taal se Taal Mila," and "Natraj Gopi Krishna Nrityotsava." These events aim to showcase various Kathak gharanas, including the unique style of his guru, Natraj Gopi Krishna, and provide a platform for emerging artists. He has trained a significant number of students, including many well-known personalities from the entertainment industry.
