Santosh Ram is an accomplished Indian classical Odissi dancer, recognized for his technical virtuosity and captivating stage presence. He began his journey in Odissi at the age of 15 and has been a dedicated disciple of Guru Bichitrananda Swain since 2014. Ram holds an M.Phil in Odissi from Utkal University of Culture, further solidifying his academic and practical understanding of the dance form. His training also includes tutelage under several other renowned gurus. He is a recipient of both the National and Senior Scholarships from the Government of India, acknowledging his talent and dedication to Odissi. Santosh Ram is a principal dancer with the Bhubaneswar-based Rudrakshya Foundation, where he performs Guru Swain's unique choreographies that blend traditional Odissi with fresh interpretations. He has performed extensively at prestigious national and international festivals, with tours spanning Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, South Korea, China, and the USA in 2023. His performances often feature collaborations, notably with Samir Kumar Panigrahi, with whom he has presented pieces like "Bhavani Bhujangam Stotra" at the Erasing Borders Dance Festival and "Ardhanariswara Stotra," choreographed by Guru Ratikanta Mohapatra.
