🪔 About
Sneha Devanandan is a prominent Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam, recognized as a Vidushi in the art form. Her journey in dance began early, culminating in her Bharatanatyam Rangapravesham on November 23, 2002. This debut performance was under the tutelage of Guru Sri. Ashok Kumar, Director of Natyanjali, and was presented alongside Kum. Megha Devanandan to a large audience in Bengaluru. Subsequently, she further honed her skills as a senior disciple of the renowned Guru Bharatha Sikkaram Mrs. Padmini Ramachandran, who leads Natyapriya Bangalore. Devanandan has established herself as a multifaceted figure in Indian classical dance, serving as a performer, teacher, choreographer, and the head of her own institution, Kalaanidhi Nruthya Mandiram, based in Bengaluru, India. Her dedication to the art form is evident in her commitment to training the next generation of dancers, with her students consistently excelling in various stages, competitions, and government-conducted examinations in Karnataka. Her artistic career is marked by significant national and international acclaim. Sneha Devanandan is an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and holds an "A" grade as a performer for Doordarshan, India's national public broadcaster. These recognitions underscore her high standing in the classical dance community. She has extensively showcased her Bharatanatyam performances across numerous countries, including the USA, Canada, Sri Lanka, Australia, Kenya, China, France, Mauritius, and the Middle East, participating in major dance festivals such as the Kaladwaraka Festival and Dharani Kalotsav. Her choreographic repertoire includes notable productions like "Bharathanatyam Shiva Tandava." Through Kalaanidhi Nruthya Mandiram, she continues to blend traditional repertoire with evocative choreography and music, aiming to capture the essence of Indian culture and provide a platform for audiences to experience the richness of this ancient art form.
