Tejaswini Sathe is a distinguished Indian classical Kathak dancer, guru, choreographer, and institution head, primarily based in Pune, India. She is a senior disciple and daughter-in-law of the renowned Kathak exponent Guru Pandita Maneesha Sathe. Tejaswini Sathe commenced her Kathak training in 1994 under the tutelage of Guru Pandita Maneesha Sathe. She holds multiple advanced degrees in dance, including Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Kathak from Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune University, and Bharati Vidyapeeth. Additionally, she has earned a Master's degree, Nritya Alankar, with first class honors from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. Throughout her career, Tejaswini Sathe has garnered significant recognition. She is a proud recipient of the coveted 'Singarmani' award and holds an A-graded artist certification from Doordarshan, India's national television channel. As a performer, Tejaswini Sathe has graced numerous prestigious stages both nationally and internationally. She performed extensively with her Guru, Pandita Maneesha Sathe, for fifteen years across India, the USA, and Japan. Since 2019, she has embarked on her own international tours with her senior students, performing in various countries including France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Bahrain. She also undertakes annual tours across Europe. Her performances include notable dance festivals such as Khajuraho Festival, Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Mahotsav, Kalka Bindadin Mahotsav, and Swami Haridas Sangeet Sammelan. Tejaswini Sathe is the founder and director of TANZ Kathak Academy, an institution established over a decade ago in Pune, dedicated to providing comprehensive Kathak training. She is also a respected Guru and examiner at Bharati Vidyapeeth's School of Performing Arts and the Center for Performing Arts, University of Pune, as well as an examiner at Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. In 2022, she was appointed as one of the lead choreographers by the Cultural Ministry of India for the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, a significant national honor. She is also the Joint Director at Shambhavi's International School of Kathak (SISK), managing multiple branches and a large student base.
