Vaishali Trivedi is a distinguished Kathak dancer, choreographer, singer, and teacher based in Ahmedabad, India. She is a disciple of Padma Bhushan Guru Smt. Kumudini Lakhia, a renowned figure in Indian classical dance. Trivedi has an extensive performance career spanning over three decades, presenting her solo and choreographic works in more than 50 countries across various festivals and theatres worldwide. Her notable international performances include the Khajuraho Dance Festival, Krishna Gaan Sabha, Modhera Surya Festival, Konarak Dance Festival, Biennale de la Dance in Lyon, Sziget Festival in Budapest, Le Biennale di Venezia, and the Kremlin Palace theatre in Moscow. Throughout her career, Vaishali Trivedi has engaged in significant collaborations with acclaimed international choreographers from France (Kader Attou, Karine Saporta), Italy (TTB theatre group), Brazil (Ivaldo Bartzzo), Germany (Joachim Schlomer), USA, Switzerland, and Pakistan. She also had the opportunity to work with the legendary sitar maestro Pt. Ravi Shankar in his musical theatre 'Ghanshayam' and with Pt. Birju Maharaj during the Festival of India in Germany at a young age. Her choreographic works have been showcased in various countries, and she directed a cultural show for the Gujarat Government involving 250 artists. In 2017, she founded the Sangati Centre for Performing Arts in Ahmedabad. Currently, she also teaches and works at Kadamb, Center for Dance and Music, Ahmedabad. She is recognized as a top-grade artist by Doordarshan, India, and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi.
