Her artistic journey in Kathak is deeply rooted in the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara, having received rigorous training from esteemed gurus Pandit Kartik Ram and Pandit Ramlal. She also reveres her late father, Gopal Krishna Sharma, as a significant guru who shaped her artistic and personal development. Dr. Sharma is a prominent figure in both performance and education, actively running her own dance school in Bhopal, where she meticulously imparts the intricate nuances of Kathak to her students, fostering the next generation of dancers. Further demonstrating her commitment to dance education and research, she holds the esteemed position of Head of Department (HoD) and Assistant Professor at Government MLB College, Bhopal.
