Vithra Ramakrishnan is a Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher associated with the Kalabharathi School of Dance in Portland, Oregon, USA. Hailing from Southern India, she has a long history with Bharatanatyam, having undergone approximately 16 years of training in the Vazhuvoor style under the late Mrs. Shobana Ramanathan. After completing her arangetram in India, she performed at various venues and events across the country. Upon moving to the United States, she was further exposed to the Pandanallur style in Austin, Texas. In 2011, Ramakrishnan relocated to Portland, where she joined the Kalabharathi School of Dance and continued her training under Smt. Sivagami Vanka. She has actively participated in numerous performances and productions by Kalabharathi. Beyond her performing, Vithra Ramakrishnan is also part of the teaching staff at the school, where she undergoes teacher's training under her guru, Sivagami Vanka. She coaches students for various events and assists them in preparing for their solo debut performances (arangetrams).
