🪔 About

Yuktha Vaishnavi is a promising Kuchipudi dancer who formally marked her entry into the professional world of Indian classical dance with her Rangapravesham on November 11, 2022. This significant debut performance took place at the prestigious Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi, India. She has received her rigorous training under the tutelage of the esteemed Gurus Raja Radha and Kaushalya Reddy, who are prominent figures in the Kuchipudi tradition. Her Rangapravesham showcased a rich and varied repertoire, beginning with the reverential Shree Venkateshwara Stothram, a prayer to Lord Venkateshwara, where she praised the almighty and surrendered herself at his holy feet. This was followed by the Dashavatar, depicting the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu, who descends to restore cosmic order. The program also included a Tarana, a vibrant piece composed by Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar, where dancers are envisioned as sculptures coming to life to celebrate in a temple. A central piece of her performance was the Bhamakalapam, a popular item narrating the story of Satyabhama's passionate love for Lord Krishna. The recital culminated with the Tarangam, a hallmark of Kuchipudi, where the dancer exhibits intricate footwork by dancing on the rim of a brass plate in praise of Lord Krishna. Beyond her Rangapravesham, Yuktha Vaishnavi has continued to grace the stage, notably performing at the Chakradar Mahotsav at the India International Centre in Delhi on February 16, 2025, where she presented the Tarangam. Her performances highlight her dedication to the classical nuances of Kuchipudi, combining expressive storytelling with demanding technical skill.
