Anjali Ganesh is an Indian classical dancer and teacher specializing in Bharatanatyam and Mohiniattam. Born to Nalini Rajan, she began her formal Bharatanatyam training at the age of six under the late Smt. Madhuri Kelkar in Thane, Maharashtra, continuing for nine years. She successfully completed her Visharad in Bharatanatyam from Bharataiya Sangeet Samitti in Mumbai, India. Her further training included learning from Kalamandalam Ambili at Shri Ambujakshan's classes in Mulund, Mumbai. She also pursued Mohiniattam lessons for a couple of years under Kalamandalam Geeta and Nisha in Mumbai, and continues her Mohiniattam training from Mrs. Aswathy Nair Srikanth. Anjali Ganesh has performed extensively in and around Maharashtra and has been acknowledged by various schools and social organizations. She also had the opportunity to learn from Kalakshetra faculty and dancers like Shijith Nambiar, Kalakshetra Mohan, and Jayakamala Pandiyan through workshops. Her career highlights include being part of actress Padmashri Hema Malini's dance ballets such as Geet Govind, Mahalakshmi, and Savitri. She toured various parts of India, performing at prestigious dance festivals in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Goa. Additionally, she danced for several episodes of the serial "Jai Mata Ki" telecast on Doordarshan. Anjali Ganesh is also a post-graduate in Commerce from the University of Mumbai and learns Carnatic Vocal music from Nalini Anantharaman in Chennai. She moved to the USA in 2008 and founded OnlineBharatanatyam.com in 2007 to share information and offer online dance classes globally. In 2012, she established the Natyam Academy of Performing Arts in Plano, Texas, where she continues to train students. In 2013, she released her first DVD, "Natyarambham- Learning Adavus in Bharatanatyam".
