🪔 About

Sandeepa Dhar, born on February 2, 1989, in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India, is an Indian actress and a professionally trained dancer. She has received extensive training in various dance forms, demonstrating a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary styles. Dhar trained in Bharatanatyam for eight years under the tutelage of Vani Ganpathy. She also honed her skills in Jazz and Contemporary dance for four years, learning from renowned choreographers Shiamak Davar and Terence Lewis. More recently, she has been recognized as a trained Kathak dancer, having sought blessings from her Kathak guru, Rajendra Chaturvedi, on Guru Purnima in 2026. Prior to her acting debut in 2010, Sandeepa Dhar won several awards for her dancing. Her dance prowess has been showcased not only in her film and web series roles but also in international productions. Notably, she played the lead role of Maria in the international Australian dance musical "West Side Story," where she was the sole Indian performer. This production completed over 100 musicals across 12 countries by May 2016. While primarily known for her acting career in Hindi cinema and digital platforms, her deep engagement with various dance forms, particularly Indian classical styles like Bharatanatyam and Kathak, forms a significant part of her artistic identity.
