Mahalakshmi Kameswaran is a Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher in Mylapore, Chennai, and the daughter and disciple of the gurus Kalaimamani S.K. Kameswaran and Natya Thilagam Saroja Kameswaran. Her parents launched Sri Mahalakshmi Natyalaya on Bazaar Lane in Mylapore in 1967 and named it after her. Trained by both of them in the Vazhuvoor bani her father carried, she now directs the school.
